Indian Christian Mission (ICM) came into existence as a response to the vision given by God to Pastor Samuelkutty Mathai. The vision was about the perishing souls both in the largely unevangelized North India and his native Kerala. God compelled him to come out of his all other occupations to press forward for the fulfillment of the higher call given to him. And as he started completely surrendering to God’s perfect will, new vistas unfolded.
Indian Christian Mission was set up with faith as the only capital. ICM was formally founded on April 20, 1990. But even before that, a worship service at Pastor Samuelkutty Mathai’s residence in Delhi marked the beginning of the realization of a great vision. As the visionary’s efforts began to develop, more churches were planted as far as in Bihar, Delhi, and Kerala. Indian Christian Mission is a registered society under the law of Government of India and a nine-member governing body is vested with the administration of the mission.
